In April of 2003 the New England Journal of Medicine published a paper looking at the incidence of cancer among 900,045 previously healthy people. This study demonstrated that people with the least amount of fat developed the fewest number of cancers, and that each weight group up from there had a higher percentage of people who succumbed to malignancy.

In August of 2006 the New England Journal of Medicine published a landmark study demonstrating that people who were even one pound overweight died prematurely, of all causes, because of their excess fat.

Finally, in March of this year, Dr. Gelber and his group showed that the skinnier someone is the longer they live . So if you want to be healthy you need to get thin.
